Disaster Cycle Services: An Overview is an instructor-led, virtual instructor-led and web-based course for anyone involved in, or working with, American Red Cross Disaster Cycle Services, including those training to deliver services to disaster-affected clients. This includes disaster responders, disaster instructors, external community and government partners, unaffiliated (event-based) volunteers, and partners.
Everyone is Welcome is a basic instructor-led, virtual instructor-led and web-based course that informs the learner about the Red Cross commitment to excellent service delivery to individuals with access and functional needs, including those with disabilities by inclusion and integration of their varied needs before, during and after disasters. This course also provides tips for providing services to individuals with access and functional needs, including those with disabilities.
The instructor-led course contains the same content as the web-based course. A participant who completes either the classroom or the web-based course will be equally qualified to perform Warehousing tasks.
The ERV Orientation and Driver Skills Assessment is a hands-on course for volunteers and employees who will operate an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV), a Red Cross specialty vehicle. Red Cross specialty vehicles include Emergency Response Vehicles (ERV) and Mission Response Vehicles (MRV).
Red Cross ERV Driver candidates must meet the minimum qualifications to drive a Red Cross vehicle (valid driver’s license, 3-year Motor Vehicle Record review, and completion of a defensive driving course accepted by the Red Cross).

NOTE: Anyone who completes this course is also qualified to drive a Mission Response Vehicle (MRV), and are not required to complete the separate MRV Orientation and Driver Skills Assessment. Drivers will be required to complete a vehicle familiarization review as mandated by Corporate Fleet Management.
